TSL051 College Study Skills
The other subject that we learned for this semester is College Study Skills. Having Miss Shanaa as our CSS lecturer is also one of the best things happened in my life. She is also our Group Mentor. Having her as our mentor can be said like having a mither and a sister combined. Strict and also playful, that's her. She will be derious during lessons and funny when the class is over.
For this subject, we learned a lot of new things and tips to survive in college. Other than that we also have a few assignments and assessments that need to be done throughout the semester.
Lectures and Notes
For College Study Skills, we will have lectures only on Monday every week. In College Study Skills classes, we learned a lot of things, for instance, Self Management, Stress Management, Critical Thinking and Cloud Computing.
I will always be excited for CSS classes with Miss Shanaa as we only have 2 hours per week for this subject and she is our mentor. Learning CSS with her is the best, as she will explain everything to us, followed with some meaningful advices for us.
CSS is one of my favourite subject as it helps me a lot to survive in college. Learning CSS was great, but sadly we will only learn this subject in the first semester.
There are also a few assignments that we need to do for this subject.
Assessments and Assignments
The first assignment that we need to do for this semester is the Social Media Diary. What we need to do is every week, we must post two to three topics, on a certain topic, and it could be in video or text. These entries must be posted on any social media platform like Instgram, Facebook, Twitter and mare. I chose Twitter to post my entries.
The second assignment we need to do for this semester is the Pre-Event Management Report. This is a group work, and I am in a group with Syazwani and Syakirah as the group leader. This assignment was so exciting for me as it is my first time submitting an assignment through hardcopy, instead of uploading a PDF file online. We planned to organize UiTM Got Talent or Not? for our report.
The last assignment we need to do for this subject is the class and a personal website, which is this one. You can visit our class website by clicking the button on the right! I was in a group with Husna, Aimi, Hanan and Nabihah, and we managed the Class Gallery page.
Conclusion
To conclude, there are a lot of new things and tips that I learned by learning CSS. All the classes with Miss Shanaa were great, although they were conducted online. There is no Final Examination for this subject, but I hope that I've done the best for all the assignments of this subject to achieve good results. To Miss Shanaa, thank you for everything that you shared with in classes, and I hope, not hope but you must be our mentor for the coming semester! See you Miss and thank you so much for everything :)
